DevOps Engineer


The Epione platform, with its Helpilepsy & MigraineManager verticals, is used and loved by hundreds of people with neurological disorders and their physicians. Currently, the development is outsourced, we are now ready to insource (part of) the technical team.

As our new DevOps Engineer, you will be part of our small but growing tech team to build our innovations and make them scalable and secure. From managing data from different sensors & devices to integrate with state-of-the-art healthcare systems, your job will be challenging, both strategy & execution, and rewarding.

What your impact will be

  • Design and improve our cloud infrastructure to increase its security and scalability

  • Optimize our servers and databases for functionality

  • Become our expert on code testing and deployment

  • Innovate with us on data capturing from a broad range of inputs (API’s, custom channels, etc.)

  • Innovate with us on integrations with healthcare systems

  • You ensure cross-platform optimization

  • You ensure responsiveness of applications

  • You design and develop APIs

  • Ideally, you contribute to the back end of our web & mobile applications

  • You stay abreast of developments in web/mobile applications and programming languages

Who we are looking for

  • You are a motivated and self-driven person, independently managing your time and projects

  • You have devops experience (e.g. server infrastructure), are familiar with data security and database technology, as well as back-end languages like NodeJS

  • You have very good knowledge of the AWS tools and are capable of using them smartly to balance TCO and quality of architecture

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalence in experience

  • You have ideally 2+ years of experience in projects (during your studies, or afterwards)

  • You speak English fluently, ideally in combination with good/fluent Dutch and French

  • You have excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and risk management skills

  • You have attention to detail and are analytical
